Among the ministries we run, we assist with managing a program that provides specialized services for individuals with profound multiple learning disabilities. Through quality care of professional staff coupled with the loving touch of nannies, we provide holistic care that meets the personalized needs of our participants and strives to love and serve them as individuals. Our goal is that they will live structured lives, as independent and joyfully as possible.
In our ministry to those with disability, our hope is to bring our children to their maximum potential. Though many of them are profoundly disabled, we believe that within each and every one of them is a unique person with their own, God given gifts, talents and personality. We believe that every person, including the disabled, is made in God’s own image, and like each and every person whose life was created to glorify God, the lives of the disabled exist so that the works of God might be displayed in them (John 9:3).
We take strongly Christs commandment; to “Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame."
When it comes to those in need, it is not enough to simply assist those that are in our path, true believers are called to a higher level of service, we must go and seek out those the disabled, those who lack even the ability to seek assistance, and to love and care for them as we would love Christ. Because in the end, we are not only serving them, we are also serving Christ. (Mathew 25:45)
We see those with disability as part of the body of Christ, one part of the body cannot say to the other that it is not needed, and it is on the weaker parts, that we are called to bestow greater care.
