Another year of classes begins! It's always exciting to start classes again at the beginning of a new year. There is a lot of work that goes into planning, preparing, and updating our educational programs, but it is well worth the effort. Looking back on how we started in a small orphanage with nothing more than a whiteboard and a Bible, we are amazed to see how God has put us in a position to impact the lives of hundreds and hundreds of children.
As missionaries, our primary objective is always sharing the Gospel with the children we work with and teaching them the Bible. To that end, we are faithful to study scripture, have Bible studies, and prayer times with the children. These moments are foundational, instilling in them the spiritual principles and values that will guide them throughout their lives. The power of God's Word is transformative, and we witness this transformation in the hearts and minds of the children we serve.
However, we also feel that God has called us to teach, train, and prepare the children for their lives by equipping them with practical skills. This holistic approach ensures that they are not only spiritually nourished but also prepared for real-world challenges. This is why we have developed comprehensive programs that include carpentry, cooking, and computer classes. These skills are essential for their future independence and success.
In our carpentry classes, the children learn how to work with wood, understanding the importance of precision, patience, and creativity. They take pride in the projects they complete, whether it's a simple birdhouse or a piece of furniture. These classes teach them valuable lessons about craftsmanship and the satisfaction of creating something with their own hands.
Our cooking classes are another vital part of our curriculum. Here, the children learn how to prepare nutritious meals, understand the importance of a balanced diet, and develop cooking skills that will serve them well throughout their lives. From baking bread to cooking full meals, these classes are practical and a lot of fun for the children. They learn to work together, follow recipes, and experiment with new ingredients, fostering a sense of teamwork and creativity.
Computer classes are crucial in today's digital age. We ensure that the children are included in a world where technology is ever-present. They learn basic computer skills, including using word processing programs, navigating the internet safely, and even dabbling in basic coding. These skills are indispensable, opening up a world of opportunities for them in the future.
Our classes and interactions with the children are used as opportunities to teach them the Biblical values of faithfulness, stewardship, and diligence. We believe that an essential part of the ministry God has given us is to show His love to the children by spending time pouring into them, loving them, and showing that we care by being there for them. Our presence and consistency demonstrate God's unwavering love and faithfulness.

In total, we have reached several hundred children. Each location has unique challenges and opportunities, but our mission remains to nurture, educate, and inspire.
At Fundaninos, we continue to build on our past successes, introducing new programs and enhancing existing ones. The children here are eager to learn and grow, and we are committed to providing them with the best possible education and support.
The Precious Moments school is a beacon of hope for many children. Here, we focus on creating a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive academically and spiritually. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to ensure each child receives the attention and care they need.
The Ravine School presents unique challenges, as many children come from extremely impoverished backgrounds. Yet, it is also a place of immense potential. By providing these children with a Christian education and practical skills, we are helping to break the cycle of poverty and give them a brighter future.
My Special Treasure orphanage is another critical part of our mission. The children here have often experienced significant trauma, and our work is as much about healing as it is about education. We help them rebuild their lives and discover their worth in Christ through love, patience, and consistent support.
As we embark on this new year of classes, we are filled with hope and excitement. We know that God is at work in every lesson taught, every prayer whispered, and every moment shared with these precious children. It is a privilege to serve them and witness firsthand the incredible ways God is transforming their lives. We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of their journey and look forward to all God has in store for the year ahead.
