As we close out 2024 and move into 2025, we are humbled and grateful for how God has moved through the Cadaniño ministry in Guatemala. It has been a year of transformation, service, and hope as our team has worked to share the love of Christ with vulnerable children and families in tangible ways. Lives were touched by the Gospel, hearts encouraged by God's Word, and futures brightened by His provision.

Students and Families Served
This year, 237 students from 176 families enrolled in our after-school programs and were impacted by the grace and truth of the Gospel. Behind each number is a unique story—a child discovering their worth in Christ, a family finding hope in the face of challenges, and a community being strengthened by the love of Jesus. At Cadaniño, we believe every student reflects God's image, and every family is an opportunity to minister His love and care.
"He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing." – Deuteronomy 10:18
Bible Classes – Sharing the Gospel
The heartbeat of Cadaniño is the Gospel. This year, we held 396 Kids' Bible Classes and 399 Youth Bible Classes. These sessions were a chance to teach students to learn how to study God’s word, help children understand God's love for them, guide youth towards building lives on a foundation of Scripture and equipping everyone to face life's challenges with the grace, hope and wisdom found in a personal relationship with Christ. We see that the seeds of faith and truth planted in those we serve are growing into testimonies of God's grace, mercy and love.

Academic and STEM Excellence
We conducted 674 Academic Support & Tutoring Classes to help students succeed in school and excel in their studies. Alongside this, 596 STEM classes encouraged students to develop their interests in technology and explore the wonder and order of God's creation through hands-on learning. Using curriculums from K'Nex, Meccano, Snap Circuits, and LEGO Education allowed students to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills while expanding their creativity. Our new STEM labs are empowering students to learn 3D design and printing enabling them to imagine, design and create new things. These activities reflect our belief that education is a pathway to opportunity and a way to glorify God with the talents He has given each of us.

Reading Program – A Love for Learning
This year, students read 2,019 books and completed 4,585 reading lessons all of which helped them continue developing vital literacy skills. Reading expands the imagination, opens doors to brighter futures and provides students with tools to engage meaningfully with the world around them. Through books, stories and lessons, everyone is introduced to the ultimate story—the story of God's love and redemption for humanity through Jesus Christ.

Computer Classes – Preparing for the Future
Equipping students with digital skills is essential in today's world. This year they completed 21,077 computer lessons and 220 computer courses. These classes prepare students for the modern workplace and teach technical skills that require perseverance and discipline. At Cadaniño, we see technology as a tool that can be used for God's glory, helping students discover their God-given potential and expand their horizons.

Personal Development – Growing in Christlikeness
66 of our students enrolled in personal development courses with The Genesis Foundation which helped them develop character, grow in confidence, and challenged participants to think about the world around them in new ways. These courses focused on building Christian virtues like patience, kindness, and integrity, equipping students to reflect the love of Jesus in their relationships and communities helping foster transformation that lasts far beyond the classroom.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." – Galatians 5:22-23
Serving Families and Communities
This year, we made 131 home visits, bringing the hope of Christ directly into families' homes giving us the opportunity to pray with them, strengthen their faith, and gain a deeper understanding of their needs.
In addition, we served 37,333 plates of food and distributed 182 emergency food bags, ensuring that no family we served went hungry. These acts of service reflect the heart of Jesus, who fed the hungry and cared for the least of these. Every meal provided is a tangible reminder of God's love and faithfulness.
"For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited me in." – Matthew 25:35
Youth Missions
Our youth participated in 44 mission projects, went on three mission trips and held their first outreaches demonstrating the love of Christ through service to others. These experiences allowed them to put their faith into action, grow as leaders, and bless others in their communities. Through missions, our youth learned that serving others is both a privilege and a calling and that no matter how little you have, everyone has something to give.
"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." – Matthew 5:16
Outreaches
This year, we hosted 58 outreach events, creating opportunities to share the Gospel in deeper ways with the families of our students. Through Christmas celebrations, family gatherings, graduation ceremonies and parenting meetings, these moments allowed us to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and celebrate the joy and hope that come from knowing Him.

Staff Training
This year, our teachers and staff participated in workshops focused on diligence, discipleship, and the philosophy of learning, equipping them to serve both with excellence while creating a deeper understanding of the needs of our students. These sessions emphasized the importance of faithfulness in their work, mentoring students spiritually, and viewing each child as uniquely gifted by God. The trainings empowered our team to work better together, brought a deeper understanding of why we do what we do, deepened their personal walks with Christ and enhanced their ability to disciple others, all of which help create a lasting impact on students, families, and the community.
"And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others." – 2 Timothy 2:2
Looking Ahead
As we reflect on the incredible work God has done this year, we know that no matter how much we have done, there is still greater work for us in the future and we are filled with hope for what lies ahead. We move forward trusting in our heavenly Fathers promise that “he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” and we remain committed to proclaiming the Gospel, equipping children with life-changing skills, and strengthening families for His glory.
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us." – Ephesians 3:20
