Happenings in Guatemala October 2016.
Special Visit
This month we were blessed to have a visit from F.I.R.E. missionaries in Mexico who now our supervisors. We appreciated their insight and they were a great encouragement to us. We are still here and carrying on with our work, so I guess we passed the test and get keep being missionaries.
Vocational Classes
Not much new to share here. We are just being faithful with our vocational training programs that provide the students with practical skills in carpentry, woodworking, engineering and culinary arts. The students continue to make good progress and really enjoy the classes.
Youth Group
We continued on with our monthly Vacation Bible School at the Precious Moments School & Orphanage. Along with volunteers from our local church, Casa De Libertad. We are still working on the theme of Exploring the Bible with Jesus as our guide. The volunteers assisted with preparing all the materials for the activities, buying and making the lunch, teaching the classes and assisting the children with the games and activities.The event was a big success and we couldn’t have done it without their help. The students loved it and we are looking forward to continuing the classes on a monthly basis.
