Baptism of Julia and Audrey in Guatemala

Baptisms in Guatemala.

Julia and Audrey made the decision to get baptized at our church this month. I have to say, that as a father, this was one of the best moments ever. To be able to baptize the children that God has placed into my care to raise brought me to tears. That they chose to get baptized in the church that we love, that they made the decision to make a public profession of their personal faith, belief and acceptance of their salvation by grace through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, was wonderful.

Luke 3:21-22

When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened 22 and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

Mark 1:4-5

And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 5 The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.
